Christopher “Chase” Carey spent 20 years in corporate America’s health insurance and consulting industry, in significant positions. In 1998, as a VP of underwriting for Aetna, Inc., he contacted the chief medical officer telling him of the benefits of meditation and other complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) techniques. He was politely turned down for "being too far ahead of them," and finally, 17 years later, Aetna started teaching its employees to meditate.

MINDFULNESS & MEDITATION TRAINING.
In 1993 his mindfulness & meditation work began at The Monroe Institute in Virginia. He participated in 6 week-long programs consisting of 24/7 immersions into deep meditative states and guided exploration within them. Today, he is an active member of their professional division. He went on to train individually under Karen Malik (a Monroe Institute trainer), Harvey Grady of the Center for Humana Potential, and other remarkable teachers. Chase has developed a unique model for understanding and elimination of fears that underlie stress, called the Stress Domino, and practices personal self-integration where he helps people, in meditation, dialogue with their subconscious mind to make permanent, positive change in their lives.

MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING.
In September 2012, after experiencing poor treatment during a surgical hospital stay, he entered the local Taekwondo School and signed up for Black Belt training. Four 4 years later as he was training to test for his 2nd Degree Black Belt, he began to ask himself how he could share with others what he had learned during his rigorous training in Martial Arts. Several months later “Chasing Your Mind Warrior,” Chase’s second book was born. Chase teaches Mindfulness, Meditation, and Mental Martial Arts to businesses and corporations for the purpose of creating resilient and agile professionals who can manage stress, foster creativity, focus like a laser, and produce mental clarity in difficult situation. His clients include the US Army, nursing organizations, national Insurance companies, engineering firms, and a major university business school.

AUTHOR.
In 2014 he published his first book: "Chasin' Meditation: The Step By Step Guide to a Stress-Free Life Through Meditation." The book is directed specifically toward today's stressed professionals and is now in its 2nd edition. In 2019 he published his second book: “Chasing Your Mind Warrior,” where he teaches every day professionals to think, act, and persevere like a black belt. His third book, also on meditation is with his publisher. Chase writes numerous articles for professional publications focusing on stress reduction, elimination of fears, and healing. He has an MBA from Villanova, is a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo, is a certified mindfulness & meditation teacher, and yoga teacher, and you might have seen him acting in small roles in a few TV shows and movies.
